We're looking for fun, reliable and adaptable individuals to support our talented students every Saturday at our thriving performing arts academy in Wigan. As an Academy Assistant, you'll work alongside our teachers across all three of our specialist modules: Film & TV, Comedy & Drama and Musical Theatre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in arts education, develop their leadership skills and make a real difference to young people's confidence and creativity. Your role will include: ⭐ Creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment ⭐ Supporting students throughout sessions ⭐ Assisting teachers with activities and class exercises ⭐ Helping with classroom management ⭐ Covering lessons when required (additional payment provided) We're looking for someone who is: ✔ Enthusiastic, energetic and reliable ✔ Confident working with children and young people ✔ Adaptable and happy to support across different classes ✔ Willing to get involved and lead by example ✔ Passionate about performing arts, film and creativity Details: 📍 Location: The Deanery High School, Wigan 🕒 Hours: Saturdays, 9:30am–1:00pm (term time only) 📅 Start Date: Saturday 5th September 2026 💰 Pay: £45 per session Essential Requirements: • Experience working with children (preferred) • A background in, or strong interest in, performing arts or film • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) • Commitment to completing mandatory online training before starting If you're passionate about inspiring young people and would love to be part of our friendly, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you!
